Sean Sather |
Colorado Springs Police Department ICE Spokane Washington On 01/05/11, Sean P. Sather of Spokane, WA was indicted by a federal grand jury for the possession and distribution of child pornography. In December 2010, the Colorado Springs Police Department ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators identified a suspect in Spokane distributing large quantities of child pornography. Further follow-up identified the suspect as Sather. It was learned that Sather was a registered sex offender from a previous conviction for distributing child pornography, and was already being investigated by federal authorities for a second case involving the distribution of child pornography. On 12/23/10 federal law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Sather’s residence and recovered items of digital media. At that time it was also confirmed that Sather was responsible for committing the offenses discovered by investigators from Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Police Department Missouri ICAC Task Force On 01/05/11, Ryan J. Unger was taken into custody in Missouri for possession, distribution and production of child pornography. On 12/28/10, the Colorado Springs Police Department’s ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect in the Saint Louis, MO area distributing images and videos of child pornography. Over the next several days, investigators observed the suspect with thousands of images and videos of child pornography. Investigators also developed information that the suspect may have sexually assaulted a child and taken pictures of the assault. Warrants were immediately sought, which tentatively identified the suspect as Unger. The information was then forwarded to the MO ICAC task force for further investigation. A search warrant was executed at Unger’s residence. The investigation conducted by the MO ICAC confirmed that Unger had sexually assaulted a child and produced images of the assault. It was also learned that Unger was a registered sex offender and had moved to Missouri from Tennessee.

Douglas Straley |
Denver Police Department Douglas County Sheriff's Office On 01/05/11, 19 year old Douglas Straley was arrested by the Denver Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. DPD had received information from a Metro State College counselor that Straley had an addiction to child pornography. Investigators learned Straley was on school break and staying with his parents in Sedalia, CO. Investigators from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to Straley’s address and spoke with him. Investigators were able to determine that that Straley had downloaded child pornography to the computer in his dorm room. Straley gave investigators consent to search his dorm room and seize evidence. DPD Investigators responded to Straley’s dorm room and confiscated his personal desk top computer, which was found to have numerous images of child pornography on it.

Colorado Springs Police Department Massachusetts ICAC Task Force On 01/06/11, Kevin McSweeney was arrested by the MA ICAC Task Force for the possession and distribution of child pornography, as well as several counts of unlawful possession of firearms. In November 2010, the CSPD ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators located a suspect in Woburn, MA sharing almost 2,000 images and videos of child pornography. CSPD conducted further follow-up that identified McSweeney as the possible suspect. The case was then forwarded to the MA ICAC Task Force. Investigators in MA executed a search warrant at McSweeney’s residence and found that he was in possession of over 5,000 images and videos of child pornography. McSweeney was actively downloading and distributing child pornography when the investigators executed the warrant. It was also learned that McSweeney unlawfully possessed several firearms, ammunition and high capacity magazines. |

Tait Anderson
|
Denver Police Department On 01/07/11, 32 year old Tait Anderson was arrested by the Denver Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In December 2010, DPD investigators began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography in Colorado via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators identified a suspect in Denver that had child pornography files available for distribution. The follow-up investigation identified Anderson as the suspect. It was also learned that Anderson was a music teacher at Florida Pitt Waller School. Investigators executed a search warrant at Anderson’s residence. Notebooks were recovered that documented Anderson collecting child pornography and having “impure thoughts about boys”. Child pornography videos were also located on the suspect’s laptop computer. Investigators have no evidence that Anderson sexually assaulted any children he had contact with. | |

Westminster Police Department On 01/07/11, 67 year old Westminster resident James Hardy was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Westminster PD on the charges of Sexual Exploitation of Children, Internet Exploitation and Promotion of Obscenity to a Minor. Westminster PD’ investigation revealed that in April 2010, Hardy began online conversations with a juvenile male in NH. During the course of the online relationship, Hardy sent the boy explicit photos of himself, as well as more than 100 child pornography images and videos. Hardy also encouraged the boy to engage in sexual contact with his younger brother. Investigators were able to identify other potential victims of Hardy’s, as well as other suspect’s with which Hardy was trading child pornography.

Parker Police Department On 1/11/11, a 17 year old male was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Parker PD on the charges of Sexual Exploitation of Children and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. In October 2010, Parker PD began a child pornography investigation. The victim, a 13 year old boy, reported that an alleged 13 year old female had asked him to send nude photos of himself to her via text message and she in turn sent nude photos of a female to him. After further investigation, it was learned that the 13 year old female was a 17 year old male high school student. During an interview, the suspect confessed to pretending to be a 13 year old girl to get young boys to send nude photos of themselves to him. He also confessed to receiving nude photos of young girls, which he would send off to the young boys to make them believe he was actually a young girl. A review of the suspect's Yahoo email account revealed several dozen known images of child pornography. A forensic examination of the suspect’s computer is pending.

Westminster Police Department Douglas County Sheriff's Office
On 01/12/11, 15 year old Castle Rock resident was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office ICAC Unit for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In November 2010, the Westminster Police Department began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography in Colorado via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators determined that the suspect resided in Castle Rock, so the investigation was turned over to DCSO. In December 2010, DCSO investigators executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence. Further follow-up revealed that the suspect had been downloading and collecting child pornography for the last two years. Bell is being held on a $16,000.00 bond.

Denver Police Department Thornton Police Department On 01/12/11, 45 year old Donald Irey was arrested by the Thornton Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In September 2010, the Denver Police Department’s ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspected child pornography files. Further follow up identified the suspect’s residence in Thornton, CO. Thornton Investigators executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered numerous computers. Several CDs containing child pornography files were also recovered. During an interview, the suspect admitted to downloading child pornography. | |

Westminster Police Department Commerce City Police Department On 01/14/11, 30-year-old Eric Newby was arrested on an outstanding arrested warrant on the charge of Sexual Exploitation of children. In October 2010, Westminster Police began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography in Colorado via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators located a suspect sharing several hundred files of suspected child pornography. Further follow-up led to a residence in Commerce City. In November 2010, Commerce City PD detectives executed a search warrant at the in Commerce City. While on scene, detectives determined Newby was a friend of the owner, and that he was out of state. Detectives interviewed Newby and obtained further information confirming that he was the suspect. A computer was seized and a forensic analysis performed. The analysis revealed more than 17,000 images of suspected child pornography were located on the hard drive.

Denver Police Department On 01/18/11, 41 year old David Chambers was arrested by the Denver Police Department’s ICAC unit for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In December 2010, DPD investigators began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspect child pornography files. Further follow up identified the suspect’s residence as being occupied by Chambers. Investigators executed a search warrant at Chamber’s residence and recovered numerous images of child pornography from his computer. | |

Denver Police Department On 01/25/11, 17 year old male was arrested by the Denver Police Department’s ICAC unit for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In December 2010, DPD investigators began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspected child pornography files. Further follow up identified the suspect’s residence as being in Denver. Investigators executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence and recovered images of child pornography from his computer. During an interview, the suspect admitted to downloading child pornography onto his laptop along with numerous photographs of “anamorphic” pornography (half humans, half animals having sexual intercourse). The suspect told investigators he considers himself a “furry” and had furry animal claws to prove it.

Denver Police Department
On 01/27/11, Denver PD arrested 20 year old Kyle Sherman for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In January 2011, DPD began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography in Colorado via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators located a suspect in Denver sharing child pornography files and were able to download several files from the suspect’s computer. Further follow-up led investigators to Sherman’s residence. A search warrant was executed at Sherman’s residence and numerous images and movies of child pornography were found on Sherman’s computer. Sherman was also found to have outstanding warrants for traffic and marijuana charges.

Colorado Springs Police Department On 02/01/11, Hayden Barr was arrested by the Colorado Springs Police for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In July of 2010 the CSPD Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began an investigation into the online trading of child pornography via peer to peer networks in Colorado. Detectives downloaded several files from a party later identified as 19 year old Hayden Barr. A search warrant was executed at the suspect's residence and he confessed to downloading child pornography videos and images. A forensic examination of his computer systems revealed nearly 400 files that constituted sexually exploitative material involving children. Mr. Barr turned himself into police on 02/01/11. |

Colorado Springs Police Department Homeland Security Investigations On 02/04/11,46 year old Wesley W. Brandt, Jr. was arrested by Agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) on child pornography charges. In February 2008, the Colorado Springs Police Dept.’s ICAC Unit began an investigation into the manufacture, distribution and possession of child pornography. It was learned that juvenile females in Colorado Springs and the United Kingdom had been in online contact with what they believed to be a teenaged male, later identified as Brandt. Over a several month period, the girls developed a relationship with Brandt. After earning their trust, Brandt convinced the girls to take nude photographs of themselves and send them to him. He then threatened to send the pictures of the girls out if they didn’t take more photographs, including some with a young child. Unbeknownst to the girls, Brandt also took on several other online personas whom the they were friends with. Brandt used those personas to convince the girls to do as instructed. CSPD obtained several search warrants and tentatively identified Brandt as the suspect. The investigation was then forwarded to HSI in Florida. In 2009 HSI obtained a federal search warrant for Brandt’s home in Davenport, FL. Evidence was recovered that corroborated the victims’ statements. It is also suspected that Brandt may have sexually assaulted at least one child in FL. A federal grand jury handed down a 13 count indictment on Brandt that carries a possible life sentence in prison. | |

Colorado Springs Police Department Homeland Security Investigations On 02/03/11, 54 year old Gary Bunch of Canyon Lake, TX was arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography. In January 2010, the Colorado Springs Police Dept. ICAC Unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect near San Antonio, TX who had hundreds of child pornography images and videos available for distribution. Investigators were able to download dozens of child pornography files from the suspect. Further follow-up led investigators to believe the suspect may have been sexually assaulting a child. At that time Bunch was tentatively identified as the suspect. The information was sent to agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in San Antonio for further follow-up. HSI agents obtained and executed a search warrant at Bunch’s residence. Bunch was found to be in possession of hundreds of thousands of images and videos of child pornography. It was determined that he had not had sexual contact with any children. Bunch was taken into custody on federal charges that day. |

Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspected child pornography files. Further follow up identified the suspect’s residence in Castle Rock, CO. Jordan was arrested by the Colorado Springs Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In July 2010, Toronto Police Services (Canada) began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators located a suspect in Colorado that was distributing thousands of child pornography images and videos. The information was sent to the Colorado Springs Police Dept. ICAC Unit and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for further follow-up. The investigation conducted by CSPD and HSI identified Jordan as the suspect. In October 2010 a federal search warrant was served at Jordan’s residence in Woodland Park. Investigators located evidence, including thousands of images and videos, that confirmed Jordan was responsible for possessing and distributing the child pornography files. | |

Colorado Springs Police Department Beaumont, PD, Boynton Beach, PD Homeland Security Investigations On 02/15/11, 39 year old William Allen was arrested by federal agents from Homeland Security Investigations for the possession and distribution of child pornography based on a joint investigation conducted by the Colorado Springs PD, the Beaumont PD, the Boynton Beach PD and HSI. In February 2010, the Colorado Springs PD ICAC Unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks. A suspect was located that was sharing hundreds of child pornography videos and images. The suspect also verbally expressed an interest in sexually assaulting young children. Follow-up investigation revealed that the suspect was in Cincannati, OH and that investigators from both Beaumont, TX and Boynton Beach, FL were also investigating him. The suspect was tentatively identified as Allen. It was learned that Allen was a registered sex offender after a conviction for sexually assaulting a child. On 02/15/11, HSI executed a search warrant at Allen’s residence. Evidence was recovered that confirmed that Allen possessed and distributed child pornography. Investigators also found that Allen was attempting to watch a man sexually assault on child on the internet.

Denver Police Department On 02/16/11, 64 year old John William Bickford was arrested by the Denver Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In December 2010, the Denver Police Department’s ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspected child pornography files. Further follow up revealed the computer was located at Bickford’s residence in Denver, CO. DPD investigators executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered a desktop computer that contained numerous images of child pornography. It was learned that Bickford had been collecting child pornography for the past 3 years.

Westminster Police Department Adams County Sheriff's Office On 02/17/2011, 41 year old Edwin Rose was arrested by the Adams County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In January 2011, the Westminster Police Dept. began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. WPD investigators located IP address that was sharing several hundred known images of child pornography. Further investigation identified the suspect’s computer as being located in unincorporated Adams County. The investigation was then transferred to ACSO. ACSO investigators obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence. It was discovered that Rose lived at the residence with a man and his teenage daughter. Investigators determined that Rose was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography from the residence.

Westminster Police Department Thornton Police Department On 02/18/11, 18 year old Nicholas Ziolo was arrested by the Thornton Police Dept. for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In January 2011, the Westminster Police Dept. began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. WPD investigators located IP address that was sharing numerous images of child pornography. Further investigation tentatively identified Ziolo as the suspect and his residence as being located in Thornton, so the investigation was forwarded to TPD for further investigation. TPD investigators obtained and executed a warrant at Ziolo’s residence. Follow-up investigation during the search warrant confirmed that Ziolo had possessed and distributed child pornography.

Aurora Police Department On 02/23/11, 41 year old Daniel Uttinger was arrested by Aurora PD for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In December 2010, investigators began an investigation into Uttinger's online activities. It was learned that he possessed images of child pornography on his computer. A search warrant was conducted at Uttinger's residence, during which a computer and multiple pieces of removable media were recovered. Forensic analysis showed that Uttinger possessed more than 85,000 child pornography images and videos.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Federal Bureau of Investigation Colorado Springs Police Department On 02/24/11, 71 year old Albert Turnell was arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for possession and distribution of child pornography. In February 2010, the Colorado Springs Police Dept. ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect in Smyrna, GA that was distributing hundreds of child pornography images and videos. A federal summons was issued, which identified Turnell as possible suspect. The case was then forwarded to the GBI for further investigation. GBI agents obtained a search warrant for Turnell’s residence. With assistance from the FBI, agents executed the warrant and recovered evidence that confirmed that Turnell was responsible for the distribution of child pornography. It was also learned that Turnell was a retired minister.

Aurora Police Department On February 27, 2011, 22 year old Ross M. Bellinghiere of Laramie, Wy was arrested by Aurora PD for Internet Luring of a Child and Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child. In February 2011, APD investigators learned that Bellinghiere had been having online conversations with a juvenile female. During their online contact, Bellinghiere engaged in sexually explicit conversations with the girl and arranged to meet her in person for a sexual encounter. Bellinghiere was taken into custody when he went to meet the girl. |

On 02/22/11, the Colorado Springs Police Department arrested a juvenile male for Sexual Exploitation of Children after an investigation at a local school revealed that he possessed pornographic images of a juvenile female on his cell phone. Due to the age of the arrestee, no name or image information will be realeased. | |

Trinidad Police Department / Colorado Springs Police Department
In February 2011, 20 year old Chaz Anthony Encinias was arrested by the Trinidad Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In October of 2010 the Colorado Springs Police Department ICAC Unit began an investigation into the sharing of child pornography in Colorado via peer to peer file sharing network. Investigation determined the suspect distributing child pornography was actually located in Trinidad, Colorado and the case was referred to the Trinidad Police Department. TPD executed a warrant at the suspect’s residence on 2/15/11 and seized computers and media containing sexually explicit media involving children. Mr. Encinias admitted to possessing the sexually explicit material, but denied knowledge of distribution of those materials. An arrest warrant was issued for Encinias’ arrest.

Loveland Police Department Colorado Springs Police Department
24 Year old Michael A. Lunsford was taken into custody by the Loveland Police Department on March 1st, 2011 and charged with possession and distribution of sexually explicit material involving children. The case originated from the coordinated efforts of the FBI, Colorado Springs Police Department, Larimer County Sheriff’s Department, Greeley Police Department and the Loveland Police Department. Lunsford’s IP address was identified by the various agencies and probable cause was established for the service of multiple search warrants including his residence. During the search of Lunsford’s residence multiple computers and hard drives were seized that contained the information originally viewed by Law Enforcement. An interview was conducted with Lunsford and he confessed both downloading and uploading multiple images. |

On March 2, 2011, 19 year old Abraham Clayman was arrested by the Denver Police Dept. for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In December 2010, DPD ICAC began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators located a suspect believed to be in Denver that had child pornography files available for distribution. Follow-up investigation identified Clayman as a possible suspect. Investigators obtained a search warrant for Clayman’s residence. During the execution of the warrant evidence was recovered that confirmed that Clayman was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography. | |

Brevard County Sheriff's Office, FL Denver Police Department Colorado Springs Police Department
On March 8, 2011, 63 year old Roger Dean Berry was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children after a joint investigation by the Denver PD, Colorado Springs PD and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office (FL). In January 2011, investigators in Brevard Co. observed a suspect in Colorado distributing large amounts of child pornography online via peer-to-peer file sharing. The case was forwarded to the Colorado Springs PD for investigation. Further follow-up by CSPD identified the possible suspect as Berry in Denver. The case was then forwarded to Denver PD. Investigators with DPD obtained a search warrant for Berry’s residence. The warrant was executed with investigative assistance by CSPD. Evidence was collected at Berry’s residence that confirmed he both possessed and distributed large amounts of child pornography.

In July of 2010 CSPD began an investigation into sharing of child pornography files via peer to peer networks in Colorado. Colorado Springs Police Department On 03/10/11, 20 year old Taylor Scherler was arrested by the Colorado Springs Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In November of 2010, CSPD began an investigation into the sharing of child pornography files via peer to peer networks in Colorado. Investigation lead to a local residence where it was discovered that Mr. Scherler a former Cadet, was residing with a local family and using their connection to download and distribute child pornography. Mr. Scherler turned himself in to police on the charges. |

Westminster Police Department Jefferson County Sheriff's Office On 03/18/11, 48-year-old Landy Villalobos was arrested by investigators from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at a residence in Arvada, Colorado. Westminster Police detectives had been conducting an investigation into the on-line sharing of suspected child pornography. An IP address seen sharing a considerable amount of child pornography was located, and a court order served to identify the subscriber and his location. The address was found to be within unincorporated Jefferson County, and the case was fowarded to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. A search warrant was obtained and executed. Villalobos was at the residence, and admitted to investigators to possessing child pornography, and to downloading it via peer-to-peer filesharing programs. He was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of a Child. | |

Colorado Springs Police Department Louisiana ICAC Task Force On 03/28/11, 18 year old Jose Martin Diaz was arrested by the Louisiana ICAC Task Force for possession and distribution of child pornography. In December 2010, the Colorado Springs ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect that had more than 8,000 child pornography files available for distribution. Investigators were able to download more than 100 of the files from the suspect. Further follow-up identified the suspect as living in an apartment complex Baton Rouge, LA. It was also learned that the suspect was using internet provided by Louisiana State University. The case was then forwarded to the LA ICAC for further investigation. Further investigation by authorities in LA identified Diaz as the suspect. A search warrant was executed at Diaz’ residence and multiple computers and hard drives were recovered that contained thousands of child pornography images and movies. It was also discovered that Diaz had sexual contact with a juvenile male and had taken sexually explicit images of the boy. |

Michael Mangino |
Aurora Police Department
On 03/28/11, Aurora Police Officer Michael Mangino was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children. The charge is a result of an investigation by Aurora PD ICAC members into allegations that Mangino asked a 15 year old runaway to take naked pictures of herself with his phone. A forensic exam of Mangino’s cell phone was completed and images of the girl were found on it, along with other questionable images and videos. Mangino was a 29 year veteran of the Aurora PD. On 04/04/11, 37 year old Thomas Glassburn was arrested by the Parker Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In March 2011, the Denver Police Department ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspected child pornography files. Further follow up identified the transmissions as being from Glassburn’s residence in Parker, CO. The Parker Police Department ICAC unit, with the help of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office ICAC unit, executed a search warrant at Glassburn’s residence. Evidence recovered there confirmed that Glassburn possessed child pornography on his computer.

On 04/06/11, 19 year old Brandon Leyte was arrested by the Thornton Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In March 2011, the Denver Police Department’s ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspect child pornography files. Further follow up identified the suspect’s residence in Thornton, CO. Thornton PD investigators executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered several computers. Numerous files of CP were recovered on scene from the computers. During an interview, Leyte admitted to having downloaded child pornography.

On 04/06/11, a 14 year old male was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office’s ICAC unit for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In January 2011, DCSO investigators from began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. They located a computer sharing a large amount of child pornography. On 03/28/11 a search warrant was obtained and executed at the suspect’s residence. Mercado arrived home during the search and confessed to possessing child pornography. No photo is available due to his age, nor will his name be released.

On 04/06/11, Randy Phipps was arrested by the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office for Sexual Assault on a Child and Sexual Exploitation of Children. In March 2011, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. DCSO investigators located a computer sharing images of child pornography. Further follow-up identified the transmissions as being from Phipps’ residence in Jefferson County. The case was then sent to the Jefferson County DA’s Office for further follow-up. On 04/06/11 a search warrant was executed by JCDA investigators at Phipps’ residence. Investigators learned that Phipps was in Mexico and was due back in Colorado later that day. Investigators were able to speak with Phipps by telephone. During that conversation Phipps admitted to possessing child pornography. A forensic review of Phipps’ computer was conducted. During that review, it was learned that Phipps had sexually assaulted a juvenile female at his residence and recorded the assault. Investigators were able to contact the girl and found that Phipps had been sexually assaulting her for several years. Phipps was taken into custody when he arrived from Mexico.

On 04/08/11, 18 year old Tyler Alan Ross was arrested by the Aurora Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. The FBI conducted an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks. Agents located a suspect that had images of child pornography available for download. Follow-up investigation lead investigators to Ross’ residence. A federal search warrant was executed at the residence by members of the FBI Innocent Images Task Force and the Aurora ICAC unit. Evidence was recovered that confirmed Ross’ involvement in the distribution of child pornography. |

On April 19, 2011, 30 year old Akron, CO resident Wesley Don Darnell was arrested by the Aurora Police Department, with the assistance of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, for Internet Luring of a Child and Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child. Darnell had engaged in an online relationship with a 14 year female on Facebook.com. During their online conversations, Darnell repeatedly requested nude and suggestive images from the girl, and eventually arranged to meet her for sexual purposes. APD investigators found that Darnell was on house arrest for menacing, and that he had been arrested in 2004 for Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust. During his interview, Darnell admitted to having online conversations with other young females on Facebook. On 04/20/11, 45 year old Centennial, CO resident Sam Webb Ward was arrested by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office for Sexual Exploitation of Children. ACSO had been forwarded the investigation from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. DCSO had identified that a computer at Ward’s residence had been distributing images of child pornography. ACSO obtained and executed a search warrant at Ward’s residence. Ward was contacted at his residence and admitted to collecting child pornography. Child pornography images were found on his computer and other pieces of external media.

On 04/21/11, 24 year old Arthur Ernst III was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Sexual Exploitation of Children and Promotion of Obscenity to a Minor after a joint investigation by the Parker Police Department and the New Jersey State Police Digital Technology Investigations Unit. In August 2010, investigators from Parker PD began an investigation into internet sexual exploitation of a child. Investigators learned that a juvenile victim had sent images and videos of themselves to Ernst after they had an online relationship. Investigators at the NJ State Police executed a search warrant at Ernst’s home and seized several items of evidence. Ernst admitted to chatting with young girls and had over 100 contacts in his friend’s list.

On 04/26/11, 38 year old Brian Vancourt was arrested by the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for possession and distribution of child pornography. In February 2010, the Colorado Springs Police Dept. ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect in Havelock, NC that was distributing hundreds of child pornography images and videos. A federal summons was issued, which identified Vancourt as the possible suspect. The case was then forwarded to the NCBI for further investigation. NCBI agents obtained a search warrant for Vancourt’s residence. With assistance from the FBI and Havelock PD, agents executed the warrant and recovered evidence that confirmed that Vancourt was responsible for the distribution of child pornography.

Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspect child pornography files. A search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence in Denver. Investigators learned the suspect had come home during spring break from Mesa State College and used his parent’s internet connection to download child pornography. The suspect was currently at Mesa State College. During an interview, the suspect admitted to downloading the child pornography on to his personal laptop using P2P software. | |

On 05/01/11, 31 year old Cody Charlton was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children after the completion of a joint investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. On 04/06/11 investigators with DCSO began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators located a suspect distributing child pornography that was believed to be in Colorado. Further investigation identified the suspect as being located in Jefferson County. Investigators with JCDA continued the investigation and obtained a search warrant for Charlton’s residence, which was also identified as being a home daycare facility. It was also learned that a report had previously been made that Charlton attempted to have a child at the daycare take their clothes off so that he could take pictures. During the execution of the search warrant, evidence was recovered that confirmed that Charlton had possessed and distributed images of child pornography. Charlton told investigators that he had had a sexual interest in children for most of his life. Charlton is in custody at the Jefferson County detention facility.

On 05-01-2011, Harlen Walter Ashcraft was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office. In January 2011, investigators from Sturgeon Bay, WI contacted FCSO Ashcraft arranged to meet with a mother and child for a sexual encounter in WI. Investigators found that Ashcraft lived in Fremont County, so they contacted FCSO. While FCSO was conducting further investigation into Ashcraft’s online activities, he was arrested by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in a separate online investigation. During the follow-up conducted by ACSO, it was learned that Ashcraft possessed child pornography on his home computers. FCSO investigators retrieved Ashcraft’s computers and found hundreds of child pornography pictures and videos of them. It was also learned that Ashcraft had previously been employed as a FCSO deputy.

On 05/02/11, 50 year old Robert Blaine Breeden was arrested by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office Sexual Exploitation of Children. The Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Westminster Police Department, conducted an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks. Detectives located a suspect that had images of child pornography available for download. Follow-up investigation lead investigators to Breeden’s residence. A search warrant was executed at the residence by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office with assistance by the Greeley Police and Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. Images of child pornography were found in the residence and were linked to Robert Breeden.

A search warrant was executed at Mills' residence. During the execution of the search warrant, Mills confessed to searching for and downloading child pornography. It was also learned that Mills had been fired from his job two weeks earlier for soliciting sex from several female co-workers, including one of that was a juvenile. | |

On 05/05/11, 21 year old Zackary Wieger was arrested on charges of Internet Luring of a Child, Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. Also arrested was 40 year old Roy Dean Lintner on the charge of Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child. LCSO and the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office conducted an investigation into Wieger’s online activities. It was discovered that he was having an online relationship with a juvenile female in Logan County. During their conversations, Wieger arranged to meet the girl for sexual contact. Wieger was arrested by LCSO when he arrived for the meeting. Linter accompanied Wieger to the meeting. Further investigation revealed that Linter also intended to engage in sexual acts with the girl. Both men are being held at the Logan County Detention Center with no bond pending advisement. |

Boulder County Sheriff's Office Northglenn Police Department On 05/13/11, 27 year old Brandon Christensen was arrested by the Northglenn Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In March 2011, the Boulder County Sheriff`s Department began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. Investigators located a suspect that was sharing suspected child pornography files. Follow-up investigation identified the suspect as being located in Northglenn. Northglenn PD continued the investigation and obtained a search warrant for Christensen’s residence. More than 1100 videos and 1600 images of child pornography were recovered from Christensen’s computers.

Westminster Police Department On 05/13/11, 25 year old David Rundback was arrested by the Westminster Police Dept. for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In April 2011, WPD began an investigation into the on-line sharing and distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer (P2P) networks in Colorado. Investigators identified a computer in Westminster that was distributing child pornography. Follow-up investigation identified the residence as being occupied by Rundback. A search warrant was obtained for the residence. During the search warrant execution, several computers were seized. Further investigation revealed that Rundback was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography found at the residence.

Colorado Springs Police Department Loveland Police Department On 05/15/11, Michael Jaramillo was arrested by the Loveland Police Dept. for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In March 2011, the Colorado Springs Police Department began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography in Colorado via peer-to-peer networks. Investigators located a suspect that had hundreds of suspected child pornography files available for distribution. Follow-up investigation identified the suspect’s residence as being located in Loveland. LPD continued the investigation and obtained a search warrant for the residence. Further investigation revealed that Jaramillo both possessed and distributed child pornography from his computer. It was also learned that Jaramillo had been previously convicted for the distribution of narcotics in Wyoming.

During an interview of Boesel, he admitted to downloading the child pornography but felt ashamed and disgusted because the videos were of children being assaulted. | |

Evan Alan Stott, a 20 year old male was indicted federally March 8, 2011, on two counts of Child Pornography (possession and distribution). He was arrested on March 10, 2011, and is now out on bond awaiting trial.

On 06/02/11, 24 year old Anthony Fournier was arrested for Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child by the Colorado Springs Police Department. In May 2011, the CSPD ICAC unit began an investigation into the online solicitation of minors. Investigators were made aware that Fournier, using the screen name cutie_boi2003, expressed interest in having a sexual encounter with a man and his prepubescent son. Fournier arranged to meet the two at a motel for sexual intercourse. Fournier was taken into custody upon his arrival at the meeting.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office On 06/07/11, 40 year old Raymond Carl Willey was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In June 2011, DCSO received a report from American Furniture Warehouse that stated Willey had been viewing suspected child pornography on his work computer. Detectives met with Willey at work and he admitted to viewing, downloading and saving child pornography at work. A subsequent search warrant of his house in Parker, CO revealed many other computers along with steroids and other illegal drugs. Willey was placed in custody and booked into the Douglas County Jail on a $50,000 bond. |

In September 2010, the Colorado Springs Police Department began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. CSPD investigators located a suspect in Weld County that had videos of child pornography available for download. The case was referred to WCSO for further investigation. In May 2011, a search warrant was executed at Plampin’s residence by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of Greeley PD, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Northern Colorado Regional Forensic Lab. Evidence recovered during the search warrant execution confirmed that Plampin was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography. Investigators located and interviewed Gile who admitted to being the owner of the electronic media. After the interview, investigators obtained and previewed computer equipment Gile had in his possession and located files of child pornography on them. | |

On 06/22/11, 20 year old Aaron Christopher Beers turned himself into the Colorado Springs Police Department on the charge of Sexual Exploitation of Children. A search warrant was executed and sexually exploitative media involving children was located on a computer belonging to Mr. Beers. Mr. Beers was arrested, however, it was later determined that another individual may have had access to the computer and charges were then dropped by the El Paso County District Attorney's Office pending further investigation.

In June 2011, investigators from PCSO began an investigation into the production of child pornography after a juvenile female found a video of herself on an iPod. On 06/22/11, a juvenile male was arrested in Chicago, IL on charges of Possession of Child Pornography. The juvenile is being charged as an adult, however, CSPD is still not releasing his name or a photo. CSPD ICAC began an investigation into the distribution of child pornography via the internet, in January of 2011. The investigation lead to a residence in Chicago, IL and the case was referred to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (HSI) at that location. HSI executed a search warrant and subsequently brought state charges against the 17 year old male. | |

In May 2011, LPD began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. Follow-up investigation by LPD led investigators to Thomas’ residence where a search warrant was executed. In April 2011, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer to peer networks in Colorado. Further investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office located the suspect in Arapahoe County. The Arapahoe County ICAC team continued the investigation and obtained a search warrant for the Davis residence. The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was utilized to execute the search warrant. During the search, a psilocybin mushroom grow was discovered. The South Metro Drug Task Force responded to dismantle the grow operation, which later yielded over 55 pounds of product (net weight). The on-scene investigation also determined that Davis was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography. It was also learned that two children resided within the residence. | |

The examiner found evidence of child exploitation and the computer was turned over to the FBI. In February 2011, DCSO received the case from the FBI. Investigation determined that the suspect lived in Johnston, Colorado and the case was referred to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Johnstown Police Department (JPD). On July 6, 2011, Special Agents from DHS-HSI and JPD executed a search warrant and subsequently arrested 65 year old David DALRYMPLE at his residence in Johnstown, Colorado on state charges for Sexual Exploitation of a Child for both possession and distribution of those materials. | |

On 07/13/11, 28 year old Shawn McCormack was arrested by the Colorado Springs Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In June 2010, the Colorado Springs Police Department’s ICAC Unit, in conjunction with agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography in Colorado. CSPD and HSI had been provided information by investigators in Canada that a suspect in the Colorado Springs area had been distributing large quantities of child pornography involving infants. Follow-up investigation by CSPD and HSI identified the possible suspect as McCormack. A search warrant was conducted at McCormack’s residence. During the execution of the search warrant, evidence was recovered that confirmed that McCormack was responsible for the possession and distribution of thousands of images and videos of child pornography.

Further investigation by DPD identified a suspect, identified as Fisher, located in Colorado Springs. Evidence recovered during the search warrant confirmed that Fisher was responsible for the possession and distribution of hundreds of images and videos of child pornography.

On 07/20/11, 33 year old Neil Breska was arrested by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office for Sexual Exploitation of Children. LCSO was alerted to Breska by law enforcement officials in New Hampshire. It was learned that Breska was sending images of child pornography to juveniles in New Hampshire. A search warrant was executed at Breska's residence in Fort Collins by LSCO, the Greeley Police Department and the Northern Colorado Regional Forensic Laboratory. During the execution of the search warrant, dozens of additional images of child pornography were located on Breska’s computer.

On 07/20/11, 23 year old Steve Tamlin was arrested by the Fort Collins Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children and Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child. In July 2011, FCPD began an investigation into a complaint of a male soliciting pictures from a juvenile female via text messages. The suspect, identified as Tamlin, was an acquaintance of the girl’s mother. Tamlin offered money and other gifts in exchange for nude photos of the girl. He also sent her sexually explicit pictures of himself. Tamlin told the girl he has had sexual contact with other juvenile females. Follow up investigation conducted by FCPD confirmed that Tamlin was responsible for soliciting the girl for nude images of herself. |

On 07/28/11, 24 year old Ruben Rodrigues-Argueta was arrested by the Aurora Police Department’s ICAC unit for Internet Luring, Sexual Assault and Sexual Assault on a Child. Rodrigues-Argueta had online contact with a juvenile female. During their conversations, Rodrigues-Argueta arranged to meet the girl in person. Rodrigues-Argueta picked up the girl up at her residence in Denver and drove her to his house in Aurora. At his house, Rodrigues-Argueta sexually assaulted the child and impregnated her. Rodrigues-Argueta is being held in the Arapahoe County Jail on $50,000 bond.

APD had been conducting an investigation into George’s online activity. It was discovered that George had been having an online relationship with a juvenile for several years. Investigators located a suspect in Colorado Springs that had child pornography images and videos available for download. Follow-up investigation by CSPD and Air Force OSI led investigators to Ward’s residence. Interviews and computer forensics identified Ward as being responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography. Ward was arrested when he returned to Colorado from school out of state.

On 08/04/11, 44 year old Jeffrey Pirente was arrested by the FBI for possession and distribution of child pornography. In July 2011, the Colorado Springs Police Department’s ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect that was distributing thousands of child pornography images and videos. Investigators were able to download more than 1000 files from the suspect. Further follow-up identified the suspect as living in Saratoga Springs, UT. The case was then forwarded to the FBI in Salt Lake City for further investigation. Agents were able identify Pirente as the suspect. A search warrant was executed at Pirente’s residence and multiple computers and hard drives were recovered that contained thousands of child pornography images and movies.

Evidence recovered during the search warrant confirmed that Melquist was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography. In January 2010, investigators with the Parker Police Department in Colorado began an investigation into the online solicitation for sex with minors. Investigators located a male suspect, later identified as Richards, in Canada who had contacted a woman about having a sexual encounter with her child. In February 2010, Richards arranged to fly to Denver in order to meet with the woman and her child, but he failed to show. The investigation was then forwarded to law enforcement authorities in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In August 2011, investigators executed a search warrant at Richards’ residence. During the execution of the warrant, evidence was collected that confirmed that Richards had arranged the meeting with the woman and had produced child pornography. During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located thousands of sexual explicit images and videos of infant and toddler aged children. DPD’s investigation found that Napoli had set up a motion activated video camera in the bathroom of a residence in Glendale, CO that he shared with his ex-wife. Napoli then recorded videos of the woman and her juvenile granddaughter obtained from the camera and emailed them to himself at his work in Denver. On 10/26/11, 22 year old Robert Fix was arrested by the Northglenn Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In July 2011, Denver Police Department began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography via peer-to-peer networks in Colorado. DPD investigators located a suspect that had pictures and videos of child pornography available for download. Further follow-up identified the suspect as being located in Northglenn. Investigators in Northglenn obtained and executed a search warrant at the Fix residence. During the execution of the warrant, evidence was discovered that confirmed that Fix was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office
On 10/27/11, 31 year old Brian Kimmeth was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In October 2011, DCSO began an investigation into a possible sexual assault on a child. Investigators learned that Kimmeth told an acquaintance that he had had sexual contact with a juvenile male. Further follow-up by investigators led to the discovery of child pornography on Kimmeth’s cell phone. Investigators were unable to substantiate whether Kimmeth had sexual contact with any children.

Boulder County Sheriff's Office
On 10/27/2011, 20 year old Kyle Williamson was arrested by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In March 2011, investigators with the BCSO’s ICAC unit began an investigation into an unidentified individual posing as a female professional photographer on Facebook. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that this profile was created by Williamson. Investigators found that Williamson had enticed multiple underage females to send sexually explicit images of themselves to him. During forensic analysis of Williamson’s computer, images and movies of child pornography were found.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office
On 10/28/11, 49 year old Stewart Ingham was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding arrest warrant for Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child. In July 2009, Stewart began an online relationship with a juvenile female from Douglas County. Stewart convinced the girl to engage in sexual activities with herself while they were communicating. In August 2011, a search warrant was executed at Stewart’s residence. Examination of items collected during the search warrant confirmed that Stewart was responsible for the contact with the girl.

Columbiana, Ohio Police Department Colorado Springs Police Department
In April 2008, the Colorado Springs Police Department began an investigation into the online trading of child pornography into the state of Colorado via P2P networks. Sexually exploitative material involving children was downloaded by the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. The suspect providing this material was discovered to be located in Lisbon, Ohio. The case was referred to the Ohio ICAC Task Force. The case eventually made it to the Columbiana Police Department who followed up on the investigation, which lead to 74 year old Richard Haught. A search warrant was executed and Mr Haught was discovered to be in possession of the largest volume of child pornography recovered in Ohio to date. Mr Haught was arrested for possession and distribution of Child Pornography in October of 2011. |

On 11/01/11, 64 year old Paul Rowbotham of Lakewood, CO was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Aurora Police Department on the charges of Sexual Assault on a Child and Sexual Exploitation of Children. Rowbotham was observed looking down the pants of a prepubescent relative while they were together in his truck. After the child was interviewed, it was learned that Rowbotham had sexually assaulted the child numerous times and taken photographs of the child’s genital areas. It is unknown at the this time if Rowbotham distributed the images to others.

Brevard County Sheriff's Office Department of Homeland Security Colroado Springs Police Department
On 11/02/11, 30 year old William Dempsey was arrested by the Brevard County Sherriff’s Office (Florida) and the Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for Sexual Exploitation of Children. On 11/01/11, the Colorado Springs Police Department’s ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect that was distributing images child pornography. The suspect also talked about having had sexual contact with a female child. Investigators tentatively identified the suspect’s location as Wildwood, FL, and forwarded the investigation to the BCSO/HSI cyber crimes task force. Further follow-up identified Dempsey as the possible suspect. A search warrant was executed the following day. Investigators recovered evidence that confirmed Dempsey was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography. It was also discovered that Dempsey had sexually assaulted a prepubescent female child and produced images of the assault. A federal indictment for the production of child pornography is anticipated in the near future, as are additional state charges for Sexual Assault on a Child.

Massachusetts State Police Colorado Springs Police Department
On 11/02/11, 28 year old Daniel Rivard, Jr. was arrested by the Massachusetts State Police for possession and distribution of child pornography. In May 2011, the Colorado Springs Police Department’s ICAC unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect that was distributing hundreds of child pornography images and videos. Investigators were able to download more than 100 files from the suspect. Further follow-up identified Rivard, who lived in North Dighton, MA, as the possible suspect. In July 2011 the case was forwarded to the MA ICAC Task Force for further investigation. Investigators obtained a search warrant for Rivard’s residence. During the execution of the search warrant, evidence was recovered that confirmed that Rivard was responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography. Further investigation is being conducted into Rivard’s contact with children.

Pueblo County Sheriff's Office
On 11/04/11, 50 year old Raymond Gonzalez was arrested by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office for Sexual Exploitation of Children and Introduction of Contraband. On 10/05/11, a PCSO sergeant was on duty in the Pueblo County Detention Facility and discovered a thumb drive in department computer. In an attempt to locate information that would identify the owner, images of child pornography were located, as well as documents that identified the thumb drive as belong to Gonzalez. Gonzalez was a deputy with PCSO at the time but has since resigned his position.

On November 6, 2011 the Aurora Police Department arrested 21 year old Tyler Antoine Coburn for Sexual Assault on a Child By One in a Position of Trust, Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Enticement of a Child, and Internet Luring of a Child. Coburn began a texting relationship with a 15 year old Aurora girl in January of 2011. During the course of the relationship Coburn began sending nude photos of himself via text message to the victim. Eventually the two met in person which lead to sexual contact between the two.

Denver Police Department Adams County Sheriff's Office
On 11/08/11, 20 year old Richard Endyk was arrested by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department for Internet Luring of a Child. In October 2011, the Denver Police Dept. began an investigation into Endyk’s online relationship with a juvenile. It was learned that Endyk, who was an assistant coach for a middle school football team, had been having an online relationship via Facebook with a juvenile who was the team manager. The relationship and communications became sexually explicit, at which time the situation was reported to the police. DPD’s investigation identified the child as being located in Adam’s County and referred the case to ACSO who took Endyk into custody.

Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation Loveland Police Department
On 11/14/11, 47 year old Douglas Allen Bates was arrested by the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations (IDCI) for Sexual Exploitation of Children. In November 2011, investigators with the Loveland, CO Police Department’s ICAC Unit began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography. Investigators located a suspect that was distributing hundreds of images and videos of child pornography. The suspect talked about having sexually assaulted a teenage boy and making of video of the assault. LPD investigators tentatively identified Bates, of Sioux City, IA, as the suspect, and forwarded the investigation to IDCI. Investigators with IDCI executed a search warrant at Bates’ residence. During the execution of the warrant, evidence was recovered that confirmed that Bates was responsible for the possession and distribution of thousands of images and videos of child pornography. Investigators were able to recover the video of Bates sexually assaulting the teenage boy. Investigation into the sexual assault is ongoing.

On 11/15/11, 18 year old George A. West was arrested by the Littleton Police Dept. for Internet Luring of a Child and Att. Sexual Assault on a Child. In November 2011, Littleton PD began an investigation into West’s online communications with a juvenile female. It was discovered that West had been having online communications on Facebook with the girl. The communications became sexually explicit and West arranged to meet the girl in person for a sexual encounter. West was taken into custody when he arrived at the prearranged meeting location.
