Colorado ICAC Arrests 2007
1. Canon City Police Department / Immigration & Customs Enforcement
01/03/07
On January 3, 2007, a Kenosha, Wisconsin male identified as Dennis Metallo, 46, was arrested by ICE agents at the Milwaukee airport while waiting for a Canon City mother to arrive with her 9 year old daughter to engage in a sexual encounter with Mr. Metallo. Metallo had engaged in an online relationship with what he believed to be the mother of a 9 year old girl. He told the mother of his desire to have a sexual relationship with her and her daughter. Metallo sent her several images and videos containing child pornography. A Canon City Detective coordinated with ICE agents in Wisconsin and arranged to join the man in Wisconsin. Mr. Metallo had planned to meet the mother and daughter at the Milwaukee airport and take them to a local motel where he would engage in sexual activities with both of them. Mr. Metallo had also planned a meeting the following day with an 11 year old female. Investigations are continuing to determine any other possible victims and/or involved persons. 2. Colorado Springs Police Department / Queensland Police Service Australia 01/08/07
On January 8th, 2007,
Geoffrey
Sidney Flight,
48, of Australia was arrested by the Queensland Police Service in
Australia for "Making a communication with the intention of procuring a
child to engage in, or submit to, a sexual activity" under section
63B(3)(a) of Australia's Criminal Law Consolidation Act of 1935. Mr.
Flight began communicating with Detectives in June of 2006 regarding
various sexual acts the suspect wanted to commit against children
including infants. The suspect was willing to pay for detectives to
facilitate this activity. The suspect talked about sexually touching
and wanting to engage in sexual activity with his own 8 year old
daughter. It was discovered the suspect resided in Clovelly Park,
Adelaide, Australia. Coordination was made with the Queensland Police
Service and based on the investigation of Colorado Springs Police, Mr.
Flight was arrested by Australian authorities. His computer was seized
and is being analyzed for any additional crimes or victims.
3. Colorado Springs Police Department / Corpus Christi, Texas Police Department
01/09/07
On January 9th, 2007, A San Antonio, Texas man identified as Timothy Patrick Ross, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Colorado Springs Police Department. Mr. Ross was arrested in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was attending college and turned himself into police. Mr. Ross engaged in an online relationship with a 12 year old Colorado Springs girl for approximately 6 months. During this time Mr. Ross exposed himself and engaged in sexual acts on webcam on numerous occasions. Mr. Ross persuaded the girl to perform live for him while engaged in sexual acts via webcam, which he purchased and mailed to her from Texas. Mr. Ross was discovered to have online relationships with other underage girls in Texas, one of which is a 15 year old girl whom Mr. Ross had been talking with since she was 12. Mr. Ross faces charges in Texas, Colorado and federally for his online activities.
4. Littleton Police Department
01/10/07
On January 10th 2007, Detectives from the Littleton and Westminster
Police Departments executed a search warrant at the residence of
Roy Wayne Lambert
who was arrested at that time on an arrest warrant. In November 2006, a
Westminster man began an online relationship with a 13 year old female
in an internet chat room. The 49 year old male engaged in sexually
explicit conversation and exposed himself via his web camera. Mr.
Lambert was charged with Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child.
5. Colorado Springs Police Department /North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation
01/12/07
On January 12, 2007, detectives from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, NCSBI, arrested 54 year old Bryant Cash Andrews for second and third degree sexual exploitation of a minor and solicitation of a minor. Mr. Bryant transmitted numerous images of child pornography to a 12 year old female in Colorado Springs. He asked the girl to perform sexual acts for him while on web camera. Mr. Andrews mailed the girl a webcam to facilitate this live performance. Colorado Springs Police initiated the investigation and forwarded it to NCSBI. Detectives in North Carolina discovered Mr. Andrews had sent similar images to several other minors. Investigation is continuing to determine the scope of Mr. Andrews activities.
6. El Paso County Sheriff's Office / Colorado Springs Police Department
01/19/07
On Friday January 19th, 2007, detectives from the El Paso County
Sheriff's Office arrested 46 year old Leo Gourdin for Sexual
Exploitation of a Child. In December 2006, the Nebraska State Police
contacted the Colorado ICAC Task Force about an individual in Nebraska
who received child pornography from a Colorado resident he met through
Adultfriendfinder.com. The residence was traced to an El Paso County
resident just outside of the City limits. A search warrant was obtained
by the El Paso County Sheriff's and executed on January 18th. Multiple
computers and digital media were seized from the home. During a cursory
search of the computers numerous images and videos were located that
constitute child pornography. Mr. Gourdin was arrested and booked into
the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
7. Fort Collins Police Department / Jefferson County District Attorney's Office
01/22/07
On October 26th,
2006, Fort Collins Police detectives began an investigation involving
Richard Harl after he
contacted a 12-year-old female online. Mr. Harl expressed a strong
desire to meet the 12-year-old child and had several sexually explicit
conversations with her.
During the investigation, it was learned that Mr. Harl was a registered
sex offender. Mr. Harl was required to register as a sex offender
because when he was formerly a corrections officer, in Brush, Colorado,
he had sexual contact with a female inmate.
The Jefferson County DA's Office, also investigating Mr. Harl, arrested
him on January 22nd, 2007 for Internet Luring of a Child and
Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child. Fort Collins Police detectives
filed their case with the Larimer County DA's Office after learning of
the Jefferson County DA's Office arrest. 3 counts of Internet Luring of
a Child and 3 counts of Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child were
filed by the Larimer County DA's Office.
Mr. Harl, who was on probation at the time of his arrests, had his
probation revoked after the arrests. A photo of Mr. Harl is not
available at this time.
8. Fort Collins Police Department / Jefferson County District Attorney's Office
01/23/07
On
Tuesday, January 23, 2007, Fort Collins police arrested 53 year-old
Scott Eller Cortelyou of
Conifer, Colorado on suspicion of using the internet to lure a child
into a sexual relationship. The investigation involving Mr. Cortelyou
began in August 2006.
Mr. Cortelyou, a Denver radio personality and host of KRCN radio 1060 AM show "Business for Breakfast", was arrested at the radio station in Lakewood, CO, at approximately 9 a.m. by Fort Collins police, who had been working with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office for the past six months on the investigation.
Mr. Cortelyou was transported to the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, before being transported to the Larimer County Detention Center, where he was booked for the charges of Internet luring of a child, a Class 4 Felony, and Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, a Class 4 Felony.
9. Colorado Springs Police Department
01/31/07
On January 31st, 2007, detectives from the Colorado Springs Internet
Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 32 year old Darren
Matthew Whaples for Sexual Exploitation of a Child. The Colorado
ICAC received two Cybertips from the National Center for Missing and
Exploited Children regarding an individual in Colorado Springs using
Yahoo! Inc. to post images of child pornography on the internet. The
account was traced back to Colorado Springs resident Darren Whaples. A
search warrant was obtained and several computers and digital media
items were seized. During a Police interview Mr. Whaples admitted to
posting the images to Yahoo! Photos and having been a past trader of
child sexual exploitation images. Mr. Whaples was arrested and booked
into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
10. Westminster Police Department
02/01/07
Westminster Police Department arrested Roy Wayne Lambert again on a case
separate from Littleton Police Department's arrest in January of 2007.
11. Canon City Police Department
02/02/07
Detectives
from the Canon City Police Department initiated an online investigation
with a 22 year old male from Big Bear City, California in July 2006.
The male, later identified as Andrew
Christian Coelho, discussed paying to have sexual contact
with an underage female, in Colorado. Mr. Coelho drove from Big Bear
City to Canon City, Colorado and was arrested during the early morning
hours of February 2nd, 2007 by the Canon City Police
Department. Mr. Coelho was booked into the Fremont County Detention
Center on a $100,000 cash only bond for the charges of
Criminal Solicitation, Sexual Assault on
a Child, Enticement of a Child, Trafficking in Children, Sexual
Exploitation of Children, and
Solicitation for Child Prostitution.
Mr. Coelho, a sewer maintenance worker for the City of Big
Bear, had no prior criminal history.
12. NorthGlenn Police Department
02/02/07
On
January 24th, 2007, a Northglenn Police Department detective
began an investigation using the website Hoverspot.Com, a web-site
similar to MYSpace.com, where users create personal web-pages for the
purpose of meeting and chatting. A 13 year old girl was contacted by a
male that talked to her about having sex with her. The male described
the sexual acts to take place as the male "kissing and licking all over"
her body. A meeting was set with the girl to meet at a local resturant
and then go to another location for the sexual contact. On February 2nd,
2007,Northglenn Police Department waited for the male's arrival at the
predetermined location. At about 6:45 P.M, a Southeast Asian (East
Indian) male walked into the Burger King and approached the decoy and
immediately asked the decoy to leave the Burger King with him. The male
was then arrested without incident. The male was identified as 25 year
old Giridhar R. Ramasamy.
Mr. Ramasamy was carrying an India Driver's License and was confirmed by
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as being legally admitted to
the United States as a "non-immigrant" in 2006.
13. Park County Sheriff's Office
02/05/07
In November 2006, the Park County Sheriff's Office was contacted to investigate a domestic violence/harassment situation involving a now 18 year old female. The victim reported that her ex-boyfriend had posted a picture of the victim on the ex-boyfriend's MySpace.com account and had posted derogatory comments about the victim below the picture. After further investigation, it was learned the ex-boyfriend had taken pornographic pictures of the victim when they were dating. The victim was 16 years of age when the child pornography photographs were taken by the ex-boyfriend. When the victim had confronted the ex-boyfriend about the posting on MySpace.com, the ex-boyfriend threatened to post the child pornography images of the victim on the internet. On December 3rd, 2006, a search warrant was executed at the ex-boyfriend's Bailey, Colorado address. Lots of references to killing police officers were observed in the ex-boyfriend's home. A computer, some storage media, camera telephones, and some hand written notes containing threats were removed from the home. During a forensic examination performed on the computer and recovered media, the picture of the victim posted on the MySpace.com account and several child pornography images of the victim were recovered. The ex-boyfriend was identified as 22 year old Donald L. Siler. After the execution of the search warrant, Mr. Siler began threatening the victim and making unwanted calls and sending text messages to her cellular telephone. Mr. Siler communicated with the victim by email and posted the photograph of the victim on his MySpace account. Mr. Siler is a probation client and was in a Diversion Program with the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office. Mr. Siler was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on January 25th, 2007. On February 5th, 2007, the 11th Judicial District Attorney's Office filed charges on Mr. Siler for Sexual Exploitation of Children, Criminal Libel, Intimidating a Victim or Witness, Stalking and Harassment.
14. Canon City Police Department / Fremont County Sheriff's Office

On February 8th, 2007, Eric J. Vigil, a 26 year old Colorado Springs man, was arrested after he drove to Florence, Colorado to meet with a 14 year old female. Mr. Vigil arranged the meeting at a convenience store for the purpose of having sexual contact with the female. During his conversations with the girl, Mr. Vigil spoke of having sex with the 14 year old girl and asked her to masturbate with him while talking to her on the phone. Mr. Vigil was booked on a $15,000 bond, in the Fremont County Jail, and was charged on six felony counts including Internet Luring of a Child, Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, and Enticement of a Child. A picture of Mr. Vigil is not currently available.
15. El Paso County Sheriff's Office / Colorado Springs Police Department
02/12/07
In
October 2006, the Colorado Springs Police Department's Internet Crimes
Against Children Unit received an email on the CSPD website from a
citizen wanting to report a male possessing a large quantity of child
pornography files. A CSPD detective contacted the reporting party and
obtained additional information about the male in possession of the
files. It was determined that the suspect lived outside the city limits
of Colorado Springs, so the investigation was referred to the El Paso
County Sheriff's Office for further investigation. Detectives from the
El Paso County Sheriff's Office obtained and executed a search warrant
at the male's home. The male suspect was identified as 24 year old
Robert A. Walters.
Mr. Walters completed
an interview with detectives and confessed to having child pornography
files on his computers. A cursory search of Mr. Walters' computers by
El Paso County computer forensic detectives revealed a large quantity of
child pornography. On February 12th, 2007, Mr. Walters was
taken into custody at the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Law
Enforcement Bureau for the felony charge of Sexual Exploitation of
Children.
16. Canon City Police Department
02/20/07
On
February 20th, 2007, the Canon City Police Department
arrested 30 year old Michael J.
Kalter after he drove from Ft. Collins, Colorado to Penrose,
Colorado to meet with whom he believed to be a 14 year old female, for
the purpose of having sexual relations. Mr. Kalter was charged with
Criminal Attempt to Commit Sexual Assault on a Child, Enticement of a
Child, and Internet Luring of a Child. Mr. Kalter was held in the
Fremont County Detention Center on a $15,000.00 bond. Mr. Kalter has a
previous arrest record from New Jersey for violent sexual crimes,
including Aggravated Sexual Assault with a Weapon. Please contact

17. Colorado Springs Police Department
02/22/07
On
October 11th, 2006, the Colorado Springs Police Department's
Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a Cybertip from the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding a
party using MSN to distribute child pornography. The distribution was
discovered to be coming from a Colorado Springs home. The investigation
revealed that the internet accounts belonged to a 49 year old Colorado
Springs resident, Rusty L. Sarvis.
On February 22nd, 2007, a search warrant was executed at Mr.
Sarvis' residence, which resulted in the seizure of two computers and
numerous items of computer media. Further investigation revealed that
Mr. Sarvis had engaged in sexual conversations with underage boys, using
instant messaging programs. Mr. Sarvis also had traded child pornography
via the internet and posted images of child pornography to internet
interest group pages. Mr. Sarvis was arrested on 02-22-07 for the
felony charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Internet Sexual
Exploitation of a Child.
18. Colorado Springs Police Department
03/02/07
On March 3rd, 2007, after a month long investigation, Colorado Springs Police Department detectives arrested Douglas Mitton, a 44 year old Colorado Springs resident, for Sexual Exploitation of a Child. Mr. Mitton was convicted of a sex offense committed against a child in 1996 and spent eight years in the Department of Corrections. He has registered as a sex offender since he was released on parole. The investigation revealed that Mr. Mitton had been collecting child pornography for several years. Numerous child pornography images were recovered from Mitton's home after a search warrant was executed at his home.
19. Fort Collins Police Department

March 6, 2007 Fort Collins Police Detectives arrested 46 year old
James Leroy Hatton for 2
counts of Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child in Greeley Colorado.
Mr. Hatton chatted with a 12-year-old Fort Collins child.
Mr. Hatton masturbated on his web camera for the child on
two separate occasions. Fort Collins Police recovered Mr. Hatton's
computer, a web camera, and pornographic media from his Greeley,
Colorado home during the execution of search and arrest warrants. When
Fort Collins Police arrived at Mr. Hatton's home to execute the
warrants, Mr. Hatton was wearing the same t-shirt he wore when he
masturbated on his web cam. Mr. Hatton confessed to his crimes and said
he thought he masturbated for the child on his web camera, more than two
times. Mr. Hatton is currently on probation for theft, but his
probation is likely to be revoked for his online activity. A picture of
Mr. Hatton is unavailable at this time.
20. Douglas County Sheriff's Office
03/09/07
On 03/09/07, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office arrested 25 year old
Carmen Mascitelli for Enticement of a Child, Internet Luring of a
Child and Attempted Sexual Assualt on a Child.
Mr. Mascitelli, who is deaf, contacted a
13 year old Douglas County girl and initially asked the girl if she
would like to learn sign language, but the chats quickly degraded into
Mr. Mascitelli asking if the girl would be willing to perform sexual
acts and have intercourse with him. Mr. Mascitelli also asked the girl
to take naked pictures of her and email the pictures to him. On March
9th, 2007, Mr. Mascitelli drove from Colorado Springs to Parker,
Colorado to meet the girl for the purpose of having sex. Mr. Mascitelli
was taken into custody without incident. he Douglas County Sheriff's
Office would like to thank the El Paso County Sheriff's Office for
serving the search warrant, the Colorado Commission for the Deaf and
Hard of Hearing for helping to arrange for payment of an interpreter,
and Certified Sign Language Interpreter Barbara Coffan for her
assistance with the investigation.
21. Fort Collins Police Department

On
March 15, 2007, Fort Collins Police Detectives arrested 28 year old
Wai Wip Ngai at a shopping mall in Fort Collins, when he
arrived to meet a 13-year-old female for sexual contact. Fort Collins
Police found condoms in Mr. Ngai�s vehicle, and he admitted that he put
the condoms in his vehicle for his meeting with the child. Mr. Ngai
said he was going to do everything, sexually with the child, except
intercourse, and he offered to take the child to a hotel for the sexual
contact. Formal charges of Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child and
Internet Luring of a Child were filed with the Larimer County District
Attorney�s Office on March 21, 2007.
22. Douglas County Sheriff's Office / Jefferson County Sheriff's Office

Bryan
McKenner
contacted a
12-year-old Douglas County girl online. Mr. McKenner asked to meet the
girl for sexual contact during his online conversations. Mr. McKenner
does not have a driver's license, so he requested the girl ride a bus to
meet with him. After the girl said she was scared to take the bus, Mr.
McKenner said he would ride the bus to meet the girl. The meeting was
planned for February 5, 2007; Mr. McKenner never arrived at the bus stop
where the meeting was planned. Douglas County Sheriff's Office
investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. McKenner and a search
warrant for his residence. On February 28, 2007, Douglas County
investigators learned Mr. McKenner had been arrested by the Jefferson
County District Attorney's Office on February 5, 2007. It was learned
that Mr. McKenner had scheduled two meetings on 02-05-07, the first with
the Jefferson County DA's Office in the morning, and the second with the
Douglas County investigator in the afternoon. Mr. McKenner did not show
up for the meeting with the Douglas County investigator because he had
been arrested by the Jefferson County DA's Office earlier that morning.

23. Canon City Police Department / Fremont County Sheriff's Office

March
19, 2007, the Canon City Police Department and Fremont County Sheriff's
Office arrested 31 year old Erik John
Gross.
Mr.
Gross traveled from Arvada, CO, to Canon City, CO to meet with who he
believed to be a 13-year old girl. Mr. Gross arrived in Canon City
Sunday night and checked into a local motel. Mr. Gross called the girl
and asked to meet with her on March 18, 2007, but she told him she could
not because of her parents. Mr. Gross and the girl arranged to meet
around noon on 03-19-07. Mr. Gross planned to go to his motel room, so
he and the girl could have sex and photograph the girl in nude poses.
When Mr. Gross arrived at the meet location, he was taken into custody
without incident. Mr. Gross was charged with Attempted Sexual Assault
on a Child, Enticement of a Child, Internet Luring of a Child, Internet
Sexual Exploitation of a Child, and Sexual Exploitation of a Child.
24. Fort Collins Police Department
03/20/07
On March 20, 2007, Fort Collins Police Detectives arrested 23 year old Travis Mese in Fort Morgan, Colorado for Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Internet Luring of a Child. Mr. Mese chatted with a 14-year-old child and planned to travel to Fort Collins to meet the child for sexual contact. During a Mirandized interview, Mr. Mese confessed to police he had a sexually explicit chat with a 14-year-old female and arranged to meet her.
Fort Collins Police recovered Mr. Mese's computer from his parent's house, and he was transported to the Morgan County Jail and held with a $40,000 bond. Charges were formally filed with the Larimer County District Attorney's Office on March 21, 2007.
25. Fort Collins Police Department
03/21/07
On March 21, 2007, Fort Collins Police Detectives arrested 46 year old Billy Gilmore in Thornton, Colorado for Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Internet Luring of a Child. Mr. Gilmore chatted with a 14-year-old female profile and planned to travel to a Fort Collins movie theatre, to meet the girl for sexual contact. Mr. Gilmore engaged in several sexually explicit chats with the detective prior to his arrest. Mr. Gilmore told the girl when they met, they would have to act like father and daughter in public, so no one would be suspicious. Fort Collins Police recovered Mr. Gilmore's computer from his home, and he was booked into the Jefferson County Jail with a $40,000 bond. Charges were formally filed with the Larimer County District Attorney's Office on March 21, 2007.
26. Fort Collins Police Department
03/21/07
On March 21, 2007, Fort Collins Police Detectives arrested 25 year old Michael A. Luckey at the Fort Carson US Army base for 2 counts of Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child. Sgt. Luckey masturbated over a web camera on two different days for a 13-year-old Fort Collins child. Fort Collins Police recovered Mr. Luckey's computer and web camera from his on-base room. Mr. Lucky was booked into the Criminal Justice Center (CJC), in El Paso County, with a $30,000 bond. Formal charges of Internet Sexual Exploitation of a child (2 counts) were filed with the Larimer County District Attorney on March 21, 2007.
27. Fort Collins Police Department
03/21/07
On
March 21, 2007, Fort Collins Police arrested 36 year old
John W. Meyer in Thornton,
Colorado for 2 counts of Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child and 2
counts of Internet Luring of a Child. Mr. Meyer communicated with a
Fort Collins 13-year-old child profile. During his chats Mr. Meyer
directed the child to masturbate and encouraged her to go to a park in
Fort Collins to meet him. When Mr. Meyer was arrested on March 21,
2007, he had a piece of paper in his wallet with the name of the park he
was supposed to meet the child at. Mr. Meyer admitted to detectives he
chats with 13-year-old children on the Internet. Fort Collins Police
recovered Mr. Meyer's computer, and he was booked into the Adam's County
Jail with a $150,000 bond. Formal charges of Internet Sexual
Exploitation of a child (2 counts) and 2 counts of Internet Luring of a
Child were filed with the Larimer County District Attorney on March 21,
2007.
28. Fort Collins Police Department
03/22/07
On
March 22, 2007 Fort Collins Police arrested 29 year old
Troy
E. Fanning
in Loveland,
Colorado for Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child. On February 23,
2007, Mr. Fanning masturbated on a web camera for what he thought was a
13 year old child. Mr. Fanning told detectives he allows everyone view
his web camera, no matter who they are or what their age is. Mr.
Fanning had rented his computer from a Rent-A-Center store and returned
it to the store a week prior to his arrest. When Fort Collins Police
contacted the Rent-A-Center store, the computer was on a truck enroute
to be erased in Denver, Colorado. Detectives were able to prevent the
computer from being erased and will complete a computer forensic
examination on the computer.
29. Fort Collins Police Department

Fort Collins Police Department arrested Sean Mattingly for the Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography. Mr. Mattingly plead guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
30. Douglas County Sheriff's Office
04/04/07
On
February 7, 2007, a Douglas Count Sheriff's Office investigator was
using the undercover persona of a 12-year old girl when she was
contacted by a man later identified as 42 year old
Terry Morris. Mr. Morris is
a truck driver who lives in Harrisburg, Nebraska. Mr. Morris frequently
makes deliveries to the Denver metro area. Since the investigation
began, Mr. Morris had several sexually explicit internet chats with the
investigator, and Mr. Morris masturbated over a web camera on ten
different occasions. The investigator also had several telephone
conversations with Mr. Morris. During the telephone conversations, Mr.
Morris would ask "the girl" to do inappropriate things over the phone
while he masturbated.
Over the past several weeks, several planned meets fell through. On April 4, 2007, Mr. Morris and the investigator arranged a meeting, for sexual contact, at a Douglas County apartment complex. Mr. Morris believed he would be meeting "the girl" after her mother left for work. When Mr. Morris showed up at the apartment complex, he was taken into custody without incident. During the subsequent interview at the Lincoln Hills Substation, Mr. Morris indicated that investigators may find child pornography on his home computer. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has been in contact with and is working with the Harrisburg County, Nebraska Sheriff's Office concerning this investigation. Robert Paull for having
consensual sex with a fifteen-year-old female. Investigation later
determined that Paull sent the female a nude photograph of himself to
the victim via cell phone. The victim in turn sent several nude images
of herself to Paull via cell phone. The photographs were recovered from
the telephones. Mr. Paull was charged with Sexual Assault, and 15
counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

Fort Collins Police Department acting on a tip from Wyoming ICAC about
possible distribution of Child Pornography by Joseph Harding,
executed a search warrant at his home at 2608 in Fort Collins and 76
thumbnail chiild pornography images were found. Harding was arrested and
charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. Harding
remains in custody at the Larimer County Detention Center.

Working in Conjunction with the Michigan State Police, Colorado Springs
Police Department arrested Fidencio Saucedo for Enticement of a
Child and Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child. Mr. Saucedo was charged
in Federal Court by the United States Attorney's Office. Mr. Saucedo
engaged in conversation over the internet with a mother in Michigan with
two young children. Saucedo arranged for the mother to travel for the
purpose of Saucedo engaging in sexual activity with the mothers
children. Saucedo told the mother he had molested his own daughter when
she was younger and planned to molest his grandchild who was residing
with him.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office arrested Garry Wingard for Internet Luring of a Child, Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child. Mr. Wingard spoke online with a 13 year old girl from Douglas County. He arranged to meet the girl in Douglas County for a sexual encounter, where he meet Sheriff's Deputies instead. A warrant was executed at Mr. Wingard's house in Colorado Springs with the assistance of CSPD.

The Colorado Springs Police Department working in conjunction with
the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Martin Cagiao of
Colorado Springs on charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Child. In July
2006 an Austrian based web hosting service identified suspicious
materials on their server resulting in the discovery of a child
pornography ring spanning 77 countries. Austrian authorities contacted
the FBI who worked with the Colorado ICAC unit to identify Mr. Cagiao as
a customer of this service.

The Colorado Springs Police Department arrested Aurora resident Mr. Ezekiel Montoya on a warrant previously prepared for Montoya. Mr. Montoya masturbated numerous times on a webcam for a 13 year old Colorado Springs girl. On several occasions Montoya spoke of meeting the girl for a sexual encounter that might include his girlfriend. The meetings were suggested prior to the passage of the Internet Luring law which would have made that an additional crime. Mr. Montoya was arrested for Promotion of Obscenities to a minor.

Mr. Miller works as a body modifier and was piercing girls in exchange for sexual activities. One girl told Miller she did not want to have sex with him and he anally assaulted her against her will. Mr. Miller was arrested for Sexual Assault, Inducing Child Prostitution and Patronizing a Child Prostitute.

Huffstutter for Sexual Exploitation of a Child. The Internet Crimes
Against Children Task Force received a Cybertip from the National Center
for Missing and Exploited Children that a party was distributing child
pornography in Colorado Springs. The distribution was traced back to
the Pikes Peak Library District network and eventually to Mr.
Huffstutter who is a Registered Sex Offender from Colorado Springs.
Investigation revealed that Mr. Huffstutter did access child pornography
websites and to upload images of child pornography to the internet from
the Library. Mr. Huffstutter remains in the El Paso County Jail on
$10,000 bond.

35 year old James Lee Sears was in possession of over 100 images
of child pornography on his computer and a number of CD's containing

a Colorado Springs Neighborhood in October of 2006. A Clandestine
Methamphetimine Laboratory was located at the residence, which was
located near a middle school. After analysis of Mr. Elder's Computers,
child pornography was located on the computers and Mr. Elder was
subsequently arrested.

execution of a search warrant at his house which uncovered thousands of
images of child pornography. The investigation which resulted in
B. J. Lisatz's arrest began in October, 2006, with the Texas
Attorney General's Office when they had received a Cybertip from the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The NCMEC
had received the tip from Yahoo! that someone had been uploading child
pornography. The Attorney General's investigation led to Lisatz who was
living in Golden. The investigation was turned over to the Jefferson
County District Attorney's Office through the Colorado ICAC task force.
Lisatz is being held

07/13/07, Michael E. Rushchak, a 51 year old resident of Palm
Bay, FL, was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children and
Internet Sexual Exploitation of Children following an investigation
conducted by the Colorado Springs Police Department's ICAC Unit, the
Brevard County Sheriff's Office (Florida) and ICE.
Ruschak had been having online conversations with a teenaged girl in
Colorado Springs. During those conversations, Ruschak sent several
hundred images of child pornography to the girl, encouraged her to have
sexual contact with another juvenile and was making arrangements for the
girl to travel to Florida to have sexual contact with him.
The Brevard County Sheriff's Office's SWAT team arrested Ruschak at his
home. He is being held on a $560,000.00 bond. It is anticipated that the
United States Attorney's Office will assume the prosecution.
49. Colorado Springs Police Department

On 7/13/07 the Colorado Springs Police Department was notified that 55
year old John A. Griffith of Jamestown, North Dakota had been
arrested and plead guilty to Possession of Child Pornography.
Mr. Griffith was reported by Yahoo! to the National Center For Missing
and Exploited Children as having distributed child pornography and child
erotica on Yahoo. The account was traced to Qwest and the investigation
sent to the Colorado ICAC. Further investigation tracked the account to
Mr. Griffith in Jamestown, ND. The case was referred to North Dakota
Bureau of Investigation who followed up and discovered Mr. Griffith did
have child pornography on his computer. Additionally information and a
photo are forthcoming.

On 07/20/07 24 year old John Christopher Triplett was arrested in
LaPorte, Texas for Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Internet Sexual
Exploitation of a Child, and Promotion of Obscenity to a Minor
generated from the Durango Police Department. Mr. Triplett used the
false name of John Smith while talking online with an underage person in
Durango. Mr. Triplett engaged in explicit conversations, exposed
himself on webcam and sent images of children being sexually exploited
to this underage party. A warrant was served at Mr. Triplett's house
where additional images of children being sexually exploited were
recovered. Mr. Triplett is being held on $250,000 bond while awaiting
extradition to Colorado.
52. Littleton Police Department

On 51 year old Geoffrey Leo Moranty was arrrested by the
Littleton Police Department for Sexual Assault on a Child with a
pattern of abuse. Moranty met his 14 year old victim through a
phone chat service and continued his conversations with her over the
internet. Moranty regularly drove to the victim's home when she arrived
home from school and engaged in sexual activities with the girl.
Moranty would leave before the victims parents returned home from work.
Moranty is being held on a $50,000 bond at the Arapahoe County Jail.
53. Broomfield Police Department

On July 25, 2007, Detectives from the Broomfield Police Department
arrested 66 year old Anthony Marsh of Broomfield on the charges
of
Inducement of Child Prostitution,
Sexual Exploitation of Children, Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a
Position of Trust (2 counts), Sexual Assault on a Child- Pattern
of Abuse, Sexual Assault on a Child, and Habitual Sex Offender against
Children.
The arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation after Broomfield
Police received information that Marsh possessed child pornography on
his computer, and had sexually assaulted several children.
Broomfield Detectives obtained a search warrant for Marsh's residence and a computer was among the items removed from the home. The computer contained numerous images of child pornography. Interviews were conducted with several children, some of whom disclosed being sexually abused by Marsh. Marsh was booked at the Broomfield County Jail and released after posting bond. This case remains under investigation.

During the months of June and July 2007 the Fremont County Sheriff's
Office was investigating a sexual assault case involving Charles
Lynch. During the investigation, we found Mr. Lynch had been going
online and viewing child (specifically small boys). Mr. Lynch stated he
downloaded photos onto his computer of young boys. Mr. Lynch was
cooperative and after obtaining search warrants for the computers they
were seized for forensic review of the contents. Additional, charges of
sexual Exploitation of a Child are pending from both the Fort
Carson Criminal Investigations Division and Fremont County Sheriff's
Office.

Todd Micheal Rose was arrested by investigators of the Denver Police
Department Computer Crime Investigations Unit (Colorado Internet Crimes
Against Children Task Force) and charged with Internet Luring of a
Child and Attempted Sexual Assault of a Child. Rose was arrested
after he arrived at an undisclosed location in the City and County of
Denver to meet and engage in sexual activity with a fourteen year old
female he met through Yahoo Messenger. Rose is believed to have been
using the screen name "nastydaddy1959" and to have been engaged in such
conversation with other potential victims online including Milwaukee, WI
and other locations nationally. This arrests results as a joint
investigation between the Colorado and Wisconsin ICAC Task Forces.

Edmondson had communicated with a 13 year old Colorado Springs girl and masturbated on webcam for her several times from 07/2005 through 06/2006. He is being prosecuted federally in Virginia. A 43 year old Englewood Firefighter was fired after images of child
pornography were located on his city computer. Englewood Police were
notified that on July 9th a city computer was used to access child
pornography. The investigation revealed that DeLeon, who is a
child passenger safety seat coordinator used the machine to access the
images while on duty. DeLeon faces charges of Sexual Exploitation of a
Child. Deleon worked at the South Tejon Street Firestation located at
3075 S. Tejon Street. DeLeon's case will be handled by the Arapahoe
County District Attorney's Office.

Littleton Police Arrested 19 year old Bryce Colton ALBE-QUENZER, for
sexual exploitation of children. ALBE-QUENZER admitted to
downloading and looking at child pornography on his computer through
peer to peer networks. ALBE-QUENZER'S computer will be examined to
determine the extent of child pornography present and additional charges
may be forthcoming.

31 year old Brian Burton Eaton
was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance
of the Lone Tree Police Department, on the charges of Internet Luring
of a Child and Criminal Attempt Sexual Assault on a Child. Eaton,
using the screen name
pylot76@yahoo.com,
had instant messenger conversations with a 13 year old female. On
09-05-07 Eaton contacted the girls profile and, after having a sexually
explicit conversation, asked her to meet him in person. Eaton arrived
at the meet location and fled when he saw a marked patrol car. Within
minutes Eaton was taken into custody. A search warrant was obtained and
executed that same day for Eatons' residence.

On September 11, 2007 at approximately 2357 hours, 60 year old
Dennis Philip McMahon was arrested by Canon City Police
Department for several charges. Mr. McMahon planned on having a
sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl whom he was talking to
on the internet. Charges include: Internet Luring of a Child,
Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Obscenity, Criminal
Attempt, and Sex Assault on a Child and several other charges.
Mr. McMahon was arrested when he showed up at the specified meeting
place, at the specified meeting time, driving the vehicle he
described to the underage female he was chatting with.
McMahon was using the screen name "overfiftydefinitelynotdead" and had another screen name of "macmpaloma". McMahon told the 14 year old that it might be more than a one-time-thing.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a party had
uploaded images of child pornography to their Yahoo! photos section.
The tip was traced back to a residence in Widefield, Colorado.
On 09/14/07, Colorado Springs Police along with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the residence of 28 year old Michael J. Blume, who was subsequently arrested on that same day. Blume is an Air Force Captain stationed at Ft. Carson.
Blume was charged with a total of 6 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child for possession and distirbution of child pornography.
